Analyse the “new highlanders” phenomenon,
- in the context of population movements, especially in-/out migration and multilocality,
- its underlying causes and factors,
- the resulting changes in the structure and composition of the population, and the regional population densities
- the interaction of immigrants and multilocal dwellers with the autochthonous local communities
Aims
- Overview on the state of the art of current knowledge and ongoing research
- Provide inputs to the Working Group “Demography and Employment” of the Alpine Convention (WG DE)
- Prepare new transnational projects and cooperation
